Two of Maryland’s Leading School Districts Partner with Xello for College and Career Readiness

Frederick County Public School District and Harford County Public Schools choose Xello to help students discover their path to post-secondary success.

April 29, 2025 New York, NY —Two of Maryland’s leading school districts, Frederick County Public School District and Harford County Public Schools, have partnered with Xello to elevate their college and career readiness programs. These two districts serve thousands of middle and high school students and demonstrate strong academic performance and graduation outcomes that exceed state averages.

Frederick County Public Schools supports approximately 48,906 students across 70 schools. The district boasts a 93.1% graduation rate for the Class of 2023. FCPS students also outperform state averages, with proficiency rates in English/Language Arts exceeding the state by 11 to 16 points and math scores surpassing by 4 to 15 points.

Harford County Public Schools serves 38,105 students in pre-K through 12th grade across 55 public schools, including 11 high schools and 10 middle schools. The district reported a 90.8% graduation rate for the Class of 2023. Academic performance remains above state averages, with math proficiency at 27% and reading proficiency at 50%. Harford County schools hold an average ranking of 7/10, placing them in the top 50% of Maryland public schools.
